About us:
Stegra, Formerly known as H2 Green Steel, is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. Electrical Engineer Specialist - Green Steel
The Global Utilities Solutions team belongs to the corporate Technical team with responsibilities for primarily Power distribution and Water systems. The team supports the company’s different projects and plants in all phases of their lives; from feasibility, through design and engineering, to project execution and operations, maintenance and asset management. The Technology team is responsible for process technology to make sure processes will work, being cost efficient and sustainable.
The Utilities team is small but growing. We work closely together in a flexible and informal manner with transparency and trust.
Currently, the team is fully focused on driving and supporting the progress of the Boden project which is in an intense engineering phase regarding power and water. This will be the focus in the near time while site works will ramp up later this year.
We need to expand our electrical team with someone who really knows power, from low to high voltage, regarding equipment, systems design, performance and power quality from an engineering and operational point of view. We are specifically looking for someone with experience from steel plant power distribution such as electric arc furnaces, rectifiers, statcoms, MV/LV drives etc.
The team is responsible for what technology is used through technical specifications, for what new technology will be considered and used and to be the technical specialists for the power area for the company.
Qualifications:
· Solid experience from working with high and medium voltage power distribution within industries, primarily from steel industry.
· Experience from design, engineering, project execution, operations and maintenance is all relevant. Experience can be from some technical consultancy, suppliers, EPCs and industrial plants.
· Relevant education is a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Being able to communicate with people and to bring a positive attitude is the starting point for working at Stegra.
