About us:
Stegra, formerly known as H2 Green Steel, is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. But this is just the beginning – our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize other industries in addition to steel, and we look forward to what’s next in store for us.

Manager of Factory Layout, BIM and Architecture
The Manager of Factory Layout, BIM and Architecture is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and optimization of factory layouts and managing building information systems. This role ensures that our facilities are designed for maximum efficiency, safety, and scalability.
You will be part of Stegra's central engineering team, currently focusing on the Stegra Boden project. This is a unique opportunity to leave your own imprint on the factory layout and help shape Stegra' future operations.
The role will be based in Stockholm or Boden, Sweden.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and ensure the application of internal factory design guidelines and standards. Lead and collaborate with equipment suppliers, engineering contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure a safe, optimal, and cost-effective layout.
- Develop the company's BIM ambitions, set up long-term strategies, and identify implementable improvements in ongoing projects. Support BIM coordination work across projects.
- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and architects, including both staff and contractors. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage internal stakeholders such as operations, construction, and design teams.
Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree (MSc) in a relevant engineering discipline or architecture.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working on large-scale industrial projects (steel, mining, pulp & paper, oil & gas, etc.), with at least four years in a related role.
- Proven leadership experience with responsibility for managing personnel.
- Strong understanding of available digital tools and systems, and a willingness to drive the digitalization of the discipline
- Ability to effectively interact with multiple stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to collaborate and address concerns or challenges.
- Demonstrated commitment to adhering to safety standards and guidelines, with the courage to challenge others and raise concerns regarding safety issues or potential risks.
- Enthusiasm for finding better ways of working and a dedication to continuously improving safety practices, fostering a safety culture within the project team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a high level of organization, ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are meticulously followed.
