About us:
Stegra, formerly know as H2 Green Steel, is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. But this is just the beginning – our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize other industries in addition to steel, and we look forward to what’s next in store for us.

Project Manager – Task Force
As a Project Manager in the Task Force team, you for part of the Project Delivery Organization and report to the head of Project Development and Task Force Management. The team is responsible for leading high-priority, cross-functional initiatives that drive the successful execution of large-scale industrial projects. The role is based in Stockholm.
As a Task Force Manager, you will take full ownership of fast-tracked task forces, ensuring that critical project challenges are solved at a high pace. These initiatives will span various domains, including business case analysis for scope changes, value engineering, procurement, contracting, and accelerated engineering efforts. Your ability to drill into details while maintaining a strategic perspective will be critical to success.
You are highly analytical, structured, and thrive in high-pressure environments. You take extreme ownership of your work, ensuring that tasks are completed with precision and efficiency. You are not afraid to get into the details while also maintaining a holistic project perspective. You are comfortable moving between commercial and engineering disciplines and can challenge technical assumptions. You are a problem solver with a bias toward action and decision-making.
You will be expected to lead and coordinate team members, collaborate with subject matter experts within Stegra and external partners, and ensure high-quality execution of the task forces you drive. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across disciplines and interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive cross-functional task forces, ensuring well-structured execution at a high pace.
- Take full ownership of the initiatives you manage, ensuring targets are met with high quality and on time.
- Analyze challenges in project execution and define effective strategies for resolution.
- Coordinate and engage the right resources across engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls.
- Challenge assumptions and deep dive into details to ensure that solutions are well thought through.
- Report progress to steering committees and senior leadership.
- Continuously improve task force execution methodologies, documenting lessons learned and refining ways of working.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in large-scale industrial projects, general industry (e.g., process technology, mining, metals, energy, automotive, or related industries) and/or management consulting.
- Proven project management experience in fast-moving and demanding environments.
- Strong technical curiosity and ability to engage with engineering and commercial teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to coordinate diverse teams.
- M.Sc. in Engineering (industrial, civil, mechanical, chemical, electrical, or physics).
- Fluent in English and experienced in working in multi-cultural environments.
Location: Stockholm or Boden.
