About us:
Stegra, formerly know as H2 Green Steel, is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. But this is just the beginning – our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize other industries in addition to steel, and we look forward to what’s next in store for us.

Marketing lead
Stegra is uniquely positioned in the market as one of the first green steel producers, with a ‘near zero’ product. This is particularly valuable to producers of end-products like cars, white goods, construction products and other consumer products.
Together with our customers we are leading the green transition. We enter with new green products into a commodity market that has largely been looking the same for decades. At Stegra we’re done with dirty and want to make a difference in the steel market, by doing our marketing differently.
The Marketing lead reports to the Commercial strategy manager, and is part of the Commercial Team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop marketing strategy, based on Stegra’s unique positioning and based on understanding of the sector based value chain
- Develop positioning strategy, based on market intelligence function
- Cooperate with market intelligence, branding/comms team and sales, to implement marketing strategy in terms of media, communications, fairs, events, online marketing, speaker events etc.
- Works with customers to support, educate and reach out to our customers in order to maximise market penetration, brand awareness and customer loyalty
- Manages relationship and contracting with external parties that support in Commercial marketing, communications, events, etc. and coordinates with comms/marketing team with parties supporting at a Group level
- This position enables partly working remotely
- Multi-task in a fast-paced environment with keen problem solving and creative thinking
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years experience in B2B and preferably industrial marketing, preferably at a company that has made a difference in their market/start-up or disruptor
- Knowledge and experience in using digital marketing techniques
- Creativity and drive to do things differently
- Seniority level, ready to work independently
- International experience, working with different cultures/nationalities and international markets
- Fluency in English is required
- Self-driven with proven results

Founded in 2020, Stegra (formerly H2 Green Steel) was created with the purpose to decarbonize hard-to-abate industry. Construction of our first project – an integrated plant producing green hydrogen, green iron and green steel – is well underway in Boden, Sweden. Slashing emissions using green hydrogen and renewable electricity, we’re starting a clean industrial revolution. Steel is just the beginning.
