Stegra is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. But this is just the beginning – our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize other industries in addition to steel, and we look forward to what’s next in store for us.

Information Management Engineer
Information Management Engineer plays a key role in shaping the future of how we manage the information of assets at Stegra by overseeing, updating and maintaining all the changes in engineering information tied to our manufacturing plants during its operational lifecycle.
With a strong focus on the Asset Information Management (AIM) system, this role ensures that the AIM system, which is currently being implemented, becomes the trusted single source of truth for all plant asset information. The position involves leading efforts to maintain the accuracy of the engineering information and associated data within the AIM system, all the time, establishing a change management process and designing automated workflows for efficiently managing these changes in the engineering information, during the steady state operations. The position additionally involves ensuring compliance and correctness of all the data being integrated into adjacent digital systems is to support plant production, operations and maintenance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain the AIM system as the single source of truth for plant asset information, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and streamlining the change management processes.
- Manage, review, and get all the changes to engineering data, documents, drawings, and 3D models implemented throughout the plant operations lifecycle.
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to gather, validate, and incorporate updates, while mentoring junior information/data engineers and enhancing team collaboration
- Govern the structure and quality of information in the AIM system in-accordance with the established reference designation system, standards and reference data libraries at Stegra.
- Monitor and ensure data compliance and accuracy of the asset information that is being consumed and fed by the adjacent digital systems, like maintenance management, which will integrate into the AIM system
- Lead ETL process implementation, development of workflow automation scripts, and support advanced software tools for seamless data workflows, QA/AC process and efficient asset management.
- Create dashboards, predictive models, and analytics tools to provide actionable insights into asset data trends, quality, and usage.
- Use advanced data analysis to identify opportunities for operational enhancements and recommend impactful process improvements.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Chemical engineering with deep understanding of engineering documentation and information lifecycle of a manufacturing process plant.
- 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience with asset information management systems, preferably AVEVA AIM or any other Engineering Data Management Software's.
- Strong knowledge of engineering documents like PFDs, P&IDs, isometrics, loop diagrams, electrical SLDs, and equipment datasheets.
- Understanding of 3D plant data model structures, data export/import and navigation tools.
- Working knowledge of industry standards like CFIHOS, ISO 81346 (Reference Designation System) for asset information structuring.
- .Familiarity with CFIHOS (Capital Facilities Information Handover Specification) for structured handover of information.
- Knowledge of ISO 15926, ISO 14224, or ISO 55000 will be an added advantage.
