Lead Compliance Officer
As an Lead Compliance Officer at Stegra you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's ethics & compliance program. You will have a key role in setting the foundation for securing Stegra’s adherence to ethical practices and long-term success. You will work closely with the different teams to establish and maintain policies, procedures, and practices that promote adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Primary compliance areas in scope include anti-trust, anti-corruption, sanctions, export control, data privacy, as well as human rights. You will also be working with compliance in a broader context, collaborating with other functions of the company to integrate compliance measures into new or existing processes.

You will be part of the CEO Office team, reporting to Head of Corporate Governance with a dotted line to the General Counsel and you will work closely with senior management members and other teams such as Procurement, Security, People & Organization, Sustainability and Digital.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, update and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the organization adheres to legal and regulatory requirements
- Monitor updates to legislation and relevant requirements
- Identify, manage and report compliance related risks
- Set up relevant employee trainings and educational programs
- Monitor company processes to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, conducting reviews and audits when necessary
- Compile and present compliance related matters and reports to stakeholders such as management team, board of directors, lenders or shareholders.
- Participate in Stegra whistleblowing committee and manage the whistleblowing channel
- Provide support and advice to the organization regarding areas covered by the ethics & compliance program
- Actively give and seek feedback
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications and/or experience from similar work fields at a law firm is a plus
- Multiple years' working experience, including a couple of years' experience specifically in a compliance role within an industrial corporation or law firm
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, with a passion to learn and grow
- Track record of challenging the status quo and driving positive change within an organization
- Ability to work independently as well as in teams
- Well organized and attention to detail
- Excellent skills in written and spoken English

Construction of our first project – an integrated plant producing green hydrogen, green iron and green steel – is well underway in Boden, Sweden.
